In December, I spent 7 days in Hong Kong. Full disclosure…Hong Kong and I did not start off very well. The first thing that I did was a tour of Kowloon. The tour was absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend it. But, they talked a lot about living conditions for many people in Hong Kong and how their situation came to be. I’m not the type of person who avoids difficult subjects, but I wish I would have taken this tour a day or two into my visit. Seriously though, take this tour. Not all of the subject matter is easy, but I think it’s worth knowing about.
Anyway, most of my time in Hong Kong was spent walking and taking pictures. This is the one time where I’ve wanted a step tracker…I can’t even guess how many miles I walked over seven days!
SHAM SHUI PO
WEST KOWLOON
MAN MO TEMPLE
SOHO
BIRD MARKET
I wasn’t super excited to go here, but a photography tour that I went on spent about an hour here. I like my photos, but feel bad for the birds.
WANDERINGS
One more thing about Hong Kong – this was the busiest city that I’ve ever been to. I’m sure that there are busier cities in the world. This photo is from my last day in Hong Kong…it's the crowd waiting to get on the escalator down to the train platform. Yup, it took awhile to get back to the hotel!
