At the end of January, I was lucky enough to travel to India for business for one week. I was also very lucky to be able to take another week of personal time to experience a tiny bit more of what India has to offer.
My first week was spent in Bangalore and work took up a vast majority of my time. But I was able to walk around for a little bit, and was even invited to visit a coffee farm about four hours outside of the city. I really regret not spending more time photographing this vibrant, beautiful city…honestly I really needed to get my bearings before being in the right headspace to take pictures. That took me awhile. The saying that nothing can prepare you for India was true for me, but in a really good way. As I was walking around Bangalore, learning how to cross busy streets and taking in all of the different smells and sights, I couldn’t help but feel a specialness about this place. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to go back again someday.

OVERNIGHT TRIP TO THE COFFEE FARM
On the way to visit the coffee farm, our hosts stopped in the town of Chikkamagaluru to visit the Halebeedu temple. It seemed as though there was a festival happening in the town that day, hence the beautiful orange flags decorating the town’s main square.
